Why is the female vulva area black

Many women find that their vulva area, especially the labia, is significantly darker in color, what is the cause of this phenomenon? The dark color of the vulva of most women is a normal physiological phenomenon, which is related to the fact that after entering puberty, the level of sex hormones in the body increases significantly, resulting in local pigmentation. The shade of this pigmentation is also influenced by genetic factors, with some women having a lighter vulvar area and some having a very dark one. Women with darker skin tones in other parts of the body will have a correspondingly darker vulva. The reason why individual women have deeper pigmentation in the vulva area may be related to the fact that they have been wearing tight underwear for a long time, or that their sexual life is too frequent, resulting in excessive local frictional stimulation and pigmentation.
