What are the late manifestations of lung adenocarcinoma metastasis to the neck?

Common symptoms of lung adenocarcinoma metastasis to the neck in late stage include chest tightness and chest pain, wheezing and coughing, obvious swelling of lymph nodes in the neck and painless nodules in the neck.

1. Chest tightness and chest pain: when the tumor develops metastasis, the tumor directly invades the pleura or chest wall, or even presses the intercostal nerve, it can cause vague pain or severe pain in wide area of chest, and the chest is suffocated.

2. Coughing and wheezing: when the tumor develops metastasis and the invading tissues are enlarged, it will cause narrowing of bronchial tubes, which will lead to persistent coughing, and heavier wheezing sound can be produced in the long term.

3. Obvious swelling of lymph nodes in neck: lung adenocarcinoma metastasizes to adjacent or distant lymph nodes through lymph, and the lymph nodes in neck are invaded and enlarged.

4. Painless neck nodules: Lung adenocarcinoma metastasizes through the skin of the neck and invades the skin, resulting in stiffness of the skin of the neck and the appearance of several peanut-meter-sized nodules.

If lung adenocarcinoma metastasis to the neck is found, one should go to the hospital immediately, undergo hospital related examination and actively cooperate with doctor’s treatment. Lung adenocarcinoma patients in the middle and late stages can reduce the adverse effects of the disease through “early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment”, and many of them may survive for a long time, so they should set up confidence in treatment.
