The difference between night sweats and spontaneous sweating in babies

Baby’s night sweats (abnormal sweating after going to sleep and stop sweating after waking up) and spontaneous sweating (involuntary sweating during the day, aggravated by sweating with a little movement) are different in terms of etiology, symptoms and treatment. 1. Etiology: Night sweating is generally due to various reasons of depletion of yin fluid, resulting in yin deficiency and night sweating; spontaneous sweating is generally due to insufficient lung qi, which is unable to regulate fluid, and spontaneous sweating occurs. 2. Symptoms: Night sweating generally refers to sweating during sleep, which stops after waking up; spontaneous sweating is sweating more during the day, which is worse after activities. 3. Treatment: Night sweating is usually treated by nourishing yin and astringent sweating (stopping sweating by replenishing fluids), such as Liou Wei Di Huang Wan; spontaneous sweating is usually treated by fixing the surface of the body and astringent sweating, such as Yubing Feng Granules. Children should take the medication under the guidance of a physician and the supervision of an adult according to the dosage.
