High total cholesterol, triglycerides, and LDL cholesterol are considered hyperlipidemia. It is mainly treated by diet therapy, exercise therapy and drug therapy.
1. Dietary treatment: It is recommended to have a healthy diet, reduce the intake of high-fat diet, such as fatty meat, cakes, fried food, etc., and increase the intake of fresh fruits and vegetables. Patients with high total cholesterol should also pay attention to controlling the intake of cholesterol as much as possible in daily life, and eat less animal offal and brain.
2. Exercise therapy: It is recommended to insist on appropriate aerobic exercise every week, such as square dance, yoga, jogging, walking, swimming and so on.
3. Medication: If the blood lipids are still high through diet and exercise, medication should be added. High total cholesterol and LDL cholesterol mainly take statin drugs, such as atorvastatin, resuvastatin. High triglycerides are treated with fibrates such as fenofibrate.
Patients with high total cholesterol, high triglycerides and high LDL cholesterol are recommended to consult an endocrinologist for standardized treatment under the guidance of a physician.
