Thyroid nodule more than 1cm surrounded by blood vessels need to be treated?

Thyroid nodules over 1cm with peripheral vascular surroundings need to be treated according to the nature of the nodule, and malignant nodules need to be treated surgically. If the thyroid nodule is more than 1cm with surrounding blood vessels, and there are signs of malignancy such as tiny calcification, hypoechoicity, irregular margins, and aspect ratio greater than 1, it is recommended to perform fine needle aspiration biopsy of the thyroid gland to clarify the nature of the nodule. If the nodule is malignant, surgical treatment is required. If the nodule is benign, regular review of thyroid ultrasound will be performed to observe the changes of the nodule, and if the benign nodule gradually increases in size and has symptoms of compression, surgical treatment is also recommended. It is recommended that the patient be examined and treated under the guidance of a doctor.
