What does belching mean?

Belching, commonly known as burping or burping, is the loud sound that occurs when gas in the stomach is discharged upward to the throat, and is one of the common clinical symptoms of the digestive system. Belching can be due to weakened digestive function or diet overfilled, food is not fully digested and fermented in the body, producing a large amount of gas hoarding; can also be due to drinking carbonated beverages or swallowing a large amount of air, so that the pressure of the gas in the stomach is too large, resulting in gas upstream; can also be due to ulcer stimulation or mental factors affecting the regulation of the vegetative nervous system, resulting in gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by gastric inversion of the movement. Belching caused by poor lifestyle, mental factors, etc., through self-regulation, to develop good living and eating habits, can be gradually relieved or even disappear; if belching persists, or accompanied by abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and other discomforts, we need to be vigilant about gastritis, gastric ulcers and other diseases, and recommend timely medical care to clarify the diagnosis, under the guidance of the doctor for targeted treatment.
