Children with sepsis are generally advised to wait until they have recovered before considering immunization. Sepsis is a systemic acute infectious disease caused by pathogens that invade the circulatory system, grow and multiply abnormally, and produce large amounts of toxins. Vaccinations are vaccines that can prevent diseases, and it is recommended that children receive them at the appropriate age to prevent the onset of some diseases. Although vaccinations are important for maintaining children’s health, there are indications and contraindications for vaccinations. In general, children suffering from sepsis, an acute infectious disease, are not allowed to receive vaccination, which will not only affect the effect of vaccination, but may even aggravate the condition. Therefore, it is recommended that children be cured of sepsis before considering vaccination. Once a child is diagnosed with sepsis, he or she should be hospitalized as soon as possible to receive standardized treatment, otherwise further deterioration of the condition may endanger his or her life and lead to serious consequences such as death.
