AML, also known as angiomyolipoma (AML), is a benign tumor consisting of mature adipose tissue and dysplastic vascular tissue and smooth muscle. AML is asymptomatic in early stage, but with growth, symptoms of back pain and tumor compression may appear, and if rupture occurs, symptoms such as severe pain, hematuria, nausea, vomiting, and even shock may occur, which are life-threatening. CT diagnosis: 1. Kidney morphology is abnormal, and the tumor shows a mixed density mass with mainly low density, and uneven enhancement of the mass is seen in the arterial phase. 2. Strip-like separation is common in the hypodense area. 3, often multiple, combined with hemorrhage manifested as sheet-like high-density shadow. 4, CT density resolution is high, for fat can be basically qualitative, adipose tissue in CT shows negative value ≤-10Hu, so most of the kidney malformation tumor with fat component can be distinguished by CT and make qualitative diagnosis.
