Heartburn and acid vomiting are considered to be caused by excessive secretion of gastric acid, and the common causes are as follows: First, due to psychological and mental factors: when under prolonged stress, mental tension, excessive fatigue, prolonged late nights, and a state of high alertness, gastric acid secretion will increase. Second, food influence: eating too acidic, too sweet, too oily, spicy, raw and cold food may cause excessive secretion of gastric acid. In addition, bad stimuli such as strong tea, coffee, alcohol and chocolate may also induce gastric acid secretion. Third, stress reaction: If there is severe trauma, major surgery, multi-organ failure, major blow and other stress reactions, it may lead to large secretion of gastric acid, gastric mucosal damage, erosion, ulceration, and even bleeding. Fourth, acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases: such as acute and chronic gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux disease, etc., can lead to increased secretion of gastric acid. When there are symptoms such as high secretion of stomach acid or heartburn and acid vomiting, the trigger should be removed first and proton pump inhibitors, gastric mucosal protectors and gastrodynamic drugs should be given. Patients should eat warm, soft, light and easily digestible food on weekdays, avoid overeating, eat small meals, chew and swallow slowly, and exercise appropriately to promote physical recovery.
