How long can one live with advanced nasal cancer?

There are more types of nasal cancer, usually referring to nasopharyngeal cancer. The survival period of patients with advanced stage is related to factors such as personal constitution, cancer type and treatment methods, etc. The natural course of patients is about 3-13 months, and the chance of surviving to more than 5 years after treatment is 10%-30%.

Nasopharyngeal cancer is rarely detected early, and most of them are already in the middle and late stages when detected. If the patient’s general condition is poor and the tumor has metastasized throughout the body and affected breathing, the survival period is extremely short, usually about 3 months. If there is no systemic metastasis and the condition is relatively good, the survival period is relatively long. Most nasopharyngeal cancers are more sensitive to radiotherapy, and if there are residual lesions after radiotherapy, they can be removed surgically, and the overall 5-year survival rate can reach 75%-80%.

It is suggested that such patients should adjust their mindset, relax and actively cooperate with doctors on the basis of reasonable diet and rest in order to obtain the best treatment and thus prolong their survival.
