Prior to semen collection, factors affecting semen quality need to be ruled out, such as avoiding urinary tract infections and the need to abstain from sex for more than 2 days. Before the semen test, you need to rule out diseases that cause semen quality to drop, such as prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis and other urinary tract infections, and you need to collect semen for testing after the inflammation is completely under control, or else it will lead to a drop in the quality of semen and affect the results of the test. You also need to abstain from sex for at least 2 days but not more than 7 days before the test. Within 1 hour after semen collection, it should be kept at 20~37℃ for timely delivery and labeled with your name and other information and the date of collection. The vessel for semen collection should be a clean and dry wide-mouth bottle, avoiding plastic containers that can kill sperm.
