Indications of Rejuvenating Paralysis Tang include wind paralysis, contracture of the fascial muscles of the neck and back, pain or limitation of movement of the joints of the limbs.
1. Rejuvenating Paralysis Tang is commonly used in treating diseases caused by wind-dampness attacking the joints and muscles. It is especially good at expelling external wind (wind-evil felt outside nature) and improving the wandering pain in the joints and limbs, and adopts Fangfeng (防风) and Qiangwu (羌活) in the formula to expel external wind-dampness and improve the discomfort in the joints.
2. This formula also has Astragalus and Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae to replenish the body’s vital energy, enrich the Wei qi’s function of defending the outside world, promote the operation of meridian qi, and improve the muscle spasm of the back due to the impassability of the meridians.
