There is no direct correlation between the number of cervical biopsy points and cervical cancer. There are 2 types of cells in the cervical area, namely squamous cells and columnar cells, and the site of biopsy for cervical lesions is mainly in the area of the junction of squamous and columnar cells. The biopsy site is mainly taken from the area where there is non-normal cervical tissue on visual or colposcopic view. To facilitate identification of the biopsy tissue sampling sites, they are marked and named according to the direction of the clock, such as point 1, point 3, point 5, etc. For tissues without obvious visual or colposcopic lesions, four sites of cervical tissue are routinely taken at 3, 6, 9, and 12 points for laboratory testing. Therefore, there is no direct correlation between the number of points of cervical biopsy and the condition of cervical cancer or precancerous lesions, and it is necessary to wait for the results of cervical biopsy tissue pathology before the extent of lesions can be clarified. After cervical biopsy, you should pay attention to vaginal bleeding and abstain from sexual intercourse for 1 month to avoid infection.
