Signs of Fetal Entrapment

Signs of fetal pelvic entry include changes in the shape of the mother’s abdomen, frequent urination, falling uterine height, irregular contractions, and a better appetite. 1. Changes in the shape of the abdomen: When the fetus moves downward during pelvic entry, the shape of the mother’s abdomen changes and the abdomen drops. When the head of the fetus enters the pelvis, it will press on the genitals and sacrum of the mother, producing a downward pressure. At this time, pregnant women should pay attention to rest, avoid standing for a long time, so as not to cause premature labor. 2. Frequent urination: the position of the fetus in the pelvis moves downward and presses the bladder, resulting in frequent urination, which is a normal phenomenon; however, if, in addition to frequent urination, pain or even hematuria occurs, other diseases should be suspected and treated promptly. 3. Decrease in uterine height: near the due date, the fetus enters the pelvis, the uterine height decreases, and the uterine fundus returns to its previous height, but the uterine fundus is wider. At this time, ultrasound examination can be detected. 4. Irregular contractions: Irregular contractions are a common phenomenon because the fetus has entered the pelvis and will stimulate the genitals; however, if the contractions become regular, it is a sign that the fetus is about to be delivered and should be taken seriously. 5. Appetite becomes better: the shape of the abdomen changes after the fetus has entered the pelvis, the abdomen drops, the body position drops, and the pressure on the heart, lungs and stomach decreases. The function of these organs return to normal, breathing becomes smooth, and appetite will become better. During pregnancy, pay attention to rest more, at the same time, you should relax, avoid tension, anxiety, any discomfort should be timely to the hospital, the doctor to clarify the diagnosis, and cooperate with the doctor to deal with the symptoms.
