Blow test for H. pylori on an empty stomach for a few hours

When blowing for H. pylori testing, it is generally required to be done in a fasted state, where fasting generally means fasting for more than 8 hours. In addition, before the test, patients should also note that they should not have taken antibiotics, bismuth preparations, proton pump inhibitors, and other H. pylori-sensitive drugs within the last month to avoid false-negative test results. If the test result is positive, it indicates the presence of H. pylori infection. H. pylori is clearly associated with the development of gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers, and is also a clear cause of many serious diseases such as gastric cancer and gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue lymphoma, for which prompt treatment is recommended. For the eradication of H. pylori, a quadruple regimen of 1 PPI, 2 antibiotics and 1 bismuth agent is currently advocated, with a typical course of 14 days.
