How do you see dark shadows in your eyes?

In cases where the eye can see a dark shadow, it is important to first clarify whether the condition is vitreous opacity or retinal disease. Vitreous turbidity will have floating black shadows in front of the eyes, which may appear as lines, dots, or flakes, and generally does not affect vision. In the elderly or myopic eyes, it is a liquefied degeneration of the vitreous and has no clear therapeutic implications. Fundus retinal examination is generally considered, and observation is sufficient in the absence of clear lesions. If the black shadows are fixed and there is a sense of occlusion in front of the eyes, the lesion is relatively severe. Perform relevant fundus examination to determine whether it is retinal disease, such as retinal detachment, macular degeneration, etc. Retinal detachment needs to be treated promptly, especially for foraminogenic retinal detachment, which can be surgically reset, but the vision may not be fully restored. Regular review is needed afterwards to avoid re-detachment.
