Is supraventricular tachycardia dangerous?

Supraventricular tachycardia usually occurs occasionally even in patients without cardiogenic disease, and on this basis is not a dangerous condition as long as the trigger is removed. However, frequent episodes of supraventricular tachycardia are very dangerous. If the patient has frequent episodes of supraventricular tachycardia, treatment must be given immediately. Patients with frequent episodes of supraventricular tachycardia may have a heart rate of 200 beats per minute or more, and should be given immediate reversal therapy, such as amiodarone or isobarbital, which are able to treat and improve the episodes of supraventricular tachycardia. If the patient has frequent episodes of tachycardia, it is important to go to the hospital to find out the cause of the tachycardia and to treat the cause in order to get rid of the dangerous situation as soon as possible. If supraventricular tachycardia persists, the patient may experience significant fainting and even life-threatening conditions.
