Wearing a condom can generally prevent AIDS, but it is not absolute. Developing a correct attitude towards sex, using condoms correctly (wearing a condom when the penis is erect and wearing it throughout the entire time, avoiding the condom falling off and breaking), and engaging in safer sex all play a role in preventing AIDS. If you have sex with a person who has AIDS and the condom is not worn the whole time, or if there is contact with other bodily fluids (e.g., blood), you may also get AIDS. AIDS is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, blood transmission and mother-to-child transmission. One should have a correct understanding of AIDS, avoid high-risk sexual behaviors, and seek medical treatment promptly if there is high-risk contact.
