The precautions after wisdom tooth extraction are as follows: 1. Patients should bite cotton ball tightly after tooth extraction and keep it for more than half an hour to play the role of pressure to stop bleeding; 2. Patients should be prohibited from eating and drinking within 2 hours after tooth extraction and brushing and rinsing within 24 hours; 3. Patients should reduce talking after surgery and avoid strenuous physical labor and sports for 2-3 days, and also avoid touching the trauma; 4. Patients should eat soft and cool food on the day of extraction, avoid chewing on the affected side, and forbid smoking and drinking alcohol; 5. Repeated sucking and forceful swallowing of saliva on the day of extraction are prohibited to avoid bleeding from the wound. If patients bleed more than once, they should go to the hospital for examination and treatment; 6. Local pain in the wound after the anesthetic drug has failed is normal and patients do not need to take medication.
