The common symptoms of submandibular lymphoma, i.e. malignant lymphoma, are categorized into local symptoms and systemic symptoms. Lump and compression symptoms are common local symptoms and fever is common systemic symptom.
1. Lump: the typical manifestation of submandibular lymphoma is lump, which is mostly painless and hard, and the lump will gradually increase in the later stage.
2. Symptoms of compression: local lesions usually develop rapidly, forming large hemispherical or nodular lumps in short term, and producing symptoms of compression by neighboring tissues.
3. Fever: submandibular lymphoma also has fever, but it usually stays between 37-39 degrees Celsius, with headache, nausea and emaciation, etc. Generally, antipyretic drugs are ineffective.
Early symptoms of submandibular lymphoma usually manifest as painless lymph node enlargement, and it is recommended that patients should go to the hospital for consultation when they find lymph node enlargement.
