How old are fibroids?

Uterine fibroids occur between the ages of 35 and 50, mostly in women of childbearing age, and have a certain relationship with elevated estrogen in women’s bodies. Women should not take estrogen-containing medications or eat estrogen-containing foods indiscriminately. Uterine fibroids are divided into subplasma and submucosal fibroids. Smaller fibroids do not affect menstrual changes and do not cause discomfort, while submucosal fibroids may lead to irregular vaginal bleeding and need to be surgically removed under hysteroscopy for treatment. Subplasma fibroids growing in the outer layer of the uterus do not affect menstrual changes. Fibroids of reproductive age with a diameter of 5cm or more or with symptoms of anemia, frequent urination, pressure on the rectum, etc., which are ineffective after conservative treatment, can be given surgical treatment after a comprehensive assessment based on age, symptoms and fertility requirements.
