How to avoid newborn jaundice

Neonatal jaundice is divided into physiological jaundice and pathological jaundice, physiological jaundice is unavoidable, while pathological jaundice, mainly removes the causative factors.
1. Physiological jaundice: it is a phenomenon that occurs in most newborns after birth, mainly because the life span of newborns’ red blood cells is relatively short, resulting in high bilirubin level that will gradually return to normal, and it does not need any special treatment, and there is no way to prevent it, so just pay attention to monitoring the value of jaundice.
2. Pathological jaundice: it may be caused by hemolytic disease of the newborn, congenital biliary atresia, etc. If you want to avoid jaundice in newborns, you should actively cooperate with the doctor to do a detailed examination after birth, and then treat the disease as soon as possible after finding it, so as to prevent jaundice from appearing.
After the birth of newborns, if there is persistent obvious yellowing of the skin and sclera, it may be pathologic jaundice and need to consult a doctor in time.
