How long can you live with advanced breast cancer?

For patients with advanced breast cancer, the survival period is generally 1-3 years, but it varies from person to person and is influenced by many factors. First of all, it is closely related to the type of tumor, malignancy, metastatic site and treatment sensitivity. If there are metastases to important organs such as brain, liver and lung, the prognosis is poor and the survival period is usually six months to one year, and if there are only bone metastases, the survival period can reach three years. The better the patient’s own physical condition, the longer the survival period may be. In addition, the patient’s sensitivity to treatment, the conditions of treatment and prognosis received, personal mentality, and the advantages and disadvantages of social and family relationships will affect the length of survival period. Patients with advanced breast cancer are advised to eat more vegetables and fruits, reduce the intake of fatty foods, and eat less fatty and spicy foods. Build up confidence, maintain a good mood and receive regular treatment to reduce the pain and discomfort in the late stage.
