The main reasons to be considered include physiologic factors and venous insufficiency.
1. Physiological factors: For example, if the patient stands and walks for a long time during the day, the effect of gravity will cause the venous return to slow down, which will be manifested as the symptom of swollen legs every day, and after resting for one night, the venous return will increase, and the symptom of swollen legs will subside.
2. Venous valvular insufficiency: venous return obstruction caused by venous valvular dysfunction in the lower limbs can lead to symptoms of leg swelling. When resting at night, the lower limbs elevate the venous return, and the swelling will subside after a night’s rest.
If the symptoms of persistent leg swelling occur, it cannot be excluded that it is related to nephrogenic diseases and other reasons, so it should go to the hospital in time, and be treated positively after the cause is clear.
