The recommended dose for the treatment of angina pectoris or coronary artery disease is 5 to 10 mg once daily; reduced doses are recommended for elderly and hepatic insufficiency patients; the effective dose for most patients is 10 mg once daily. Amlodipine benzenesulfonate tablets can treat hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic stable angina or vasospastic angina. Adverse reactions such as edema, dizziness, flushing, palpitations, fatigue, nausea, abdominal pain, drowsiness, tardive dyskinesia, hyperalgesia, loss of sensation, loss of appetite, constipation, weakness, sexual dysfunction, dyspnea, and frequency of urination may occur with the administration of this product.
