What’s wrong with a heart that beats too fast?

A heart that beats too fast can be caused by genetic factors or acquired factors. 1. Genetic factors: for example, idiopathic arrhythmia, partial atrial fibrillation and preexcitation syndrome are also genetically inherited. 2. Acquired factors: these can be divided into physiologic and pathologic factors. (1) Physiologic factors, such as emotional excitement, drinking alcohol or coffee. Most of them can recover to the normal range by themselves. (2) Pathological factors: Mostly due to diseases, such as coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, heart valve disease, congenital heart disease, hyperthyroidism, severe anemia, electrolyte disorders and so on. When the heart beats too fast, patients may consciously feel palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), a sense of cardiac arrest, and may also be accompanied by symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, and dizziness. Patients whose heart beats too fast should go to the cardiovascular medicine department of the hospital to find out the cause and then cooperate with the treatment under the guidance of the doctor, so as not to affect personal health.
