Is the rabies virus present in dry conditions

The rabies virus can survive for 1 to 2 hours in dry conditions. However, the rabies virus is not airborne, and correctly blocked pathways can prevent the spread of the rabies virus. The ideal environment for the rabies virus is a dark, moist environment. If the rabies virus survives on dark, moist surfaces or in the air, it can generally survive for more than 10 hours. However, in dry conditions, the rabies virus will be inactivated and die more quickly, usually surviving for only 1 to 2 hours. The rabies virus is transmitted mainly through contact with the bite or saliva of an animal carrying the virus. In order to become infected, the saliva or body fluids containing the virus need to come into direct contact with the respiratory tract or the surface of a skin wound. Therefore, to prevent rabies virus infection effectively, one should avoid being bitten by dogs or other animal hosts as much as possible, clean the skin surface well, and get vaccinated in time. In case of rabies infection, you should go to the hospital for rabies vaccination as soon as possible and monitor your health condition regularly.
