There is no clinical claim that umeboshi is the “fastest way” to repair the liver. Umei also does not have the effect of repairing the liver. It has the efficacy of astringing the lungs (astringing lung qi), astringing the intestines, generating fluids and tranquilizing roundworms, and is used in the treatment of prolonged coughing due to lung deficiency, prolonged diarrhea and dysentery, thirst and thirst due to deficiency heat, and vomiting and abdominal pain due to roundworm convulsions. The adverse effects of the drug are not known, but Wu Mei should not be used by people with external surface evils (evils on the surface of the muscles) or solid heat accumulation.
