How soon can I sit up after surgery for a fracture of the upper and lower branches of the pubic bone?

After surgery for fractures of the upper and lower branches of the pubic bone it usually takes about 4 to 6 weeks if the patient is a young person, and about 6 to 8 weeks if the patient is an older person to be able to sit up. If the patient is a young person, the fracture usually heals clinically in about 4 to 6 weeks after upper and lower pubic symphysis fracture surgery. If the fracture line is clear or the bone scab is growing at the time of review, and there is no significant localized pain, the patient can sit up. If the patient is middle-aged or elderly, it usually takes about 6 to 8 weeks for the fracture to reach the point of clinical healing after the surgery of the upper and lower pubic symphysis due to the slow growth of the bone before the patient can sit up. Patients also need to be judged by a doctor before they can sit up after the upper and lower pubic symphysis fracture surgery has healed, otherwise it may lead to loosening of the internal fixation or even breakage of the patient.
