The difference between perianal cysts and perianal abscesses

Typical differences between perianal cysts and perianal abscesses: cysts are benign cystic occupying lesions, most commonly cystic lesions formed by secondary obstruction and infection of the sebaceous glands, and the patient will have perianal swelling, which can also be accompanied by local pain and can be excised under local anesthesia. Perianal abscess is an acute infectious disease of the perianal area, most often caused by repeated infections of the anal glands, and the patient will have significant perianal pain, accompanied by fever and, in severe cases, chills and fatigue. The most effective treatment for perianal abscess is to choose surgical incision and drainage to thoroughly drain the pus, and after surgery, active anti-infection treatment and regular medication changes should also be given.
