What to do about right back and right leg pain

Pain in the right waist and right leg at the same time is most likely an orthopedic disease. Common diseases such as lumbar disc herniation, transverse synovial syndrome or spinal stenosis can cause lumbar and leg pain. The first step is to go to a regular hospital and have a lumbar spine X-ray and a CT or MRI of the lumbar disc to confirm the disease. Patients with spinal stenosis have intermittent claudication in addition to lumbar pain. After diagnosis, they should lie flat on a hard bed, wear a lumbar brace for immobilization, use manual repositioning and massage therapy, and take oral and topical symptomatic medications. Lumbar disc herniation can be treated with pelvic traction, acupuncture and fumigation. Patients with transverse synovial syndrome can be treated with all other treatments except traction. Patients with spinal stenosis, for which conservative treatment is generally ineffective, need to undergo surgery for significant symptom relief and more desirable results.
