The first step is to determine whether the symptoms of acidity are due to a bone lesion or injury. A localized radiograph or CT scan is usually needed to determine if there is a lesion or injury to the bone. Benign tumors of the bone, or minor infections of the bone, are common causes of bone soreness, and localized soreness generally indicates that the bone may not be damaged, but this symptom requires prompt diagnosis and treatment. If the localized soreness is not caused by a lesion or injury to the bone, it can be identified by radiographs. Some patients with chronic muscle strain or soft tissue inflammation, such as chronic fasciitis, may also have symptoms of bone soreness.
