What to do if you are at critical risk for Down screening in mid-pregnancy

There is no need to be overly nervous about having Down’s syndrome screening in the middle of pregnancy if there is a critical risk. In this case, you can have non-invasive DNA or amniotic fluid extraction, which is a more accurate test. The non-invasive DNA test has a 99% chance of accuracy. If there is still a problem with the fetus after the non-invasive DNA test and further testing is needed, amniotic fluid can be taken for testing. High risk, in this case, must do amniocentesis, or non-invasive DNA testing to make sure the baby is okay before the baby can be born.
