Chasteberry has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidneys, bright eyes and hair, but the general decoction, foot bath can only play a very small medicinal effect. Chasteberry is a yin tonic Chinese medicine, for the mature fruit of the plant chasteberry, family Mulleinaceae. It is sweet, bitter and cool in nature, and belongs to the liver and kidney meridians. It has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidney, brightening the eyes and darkening the hair, and is mainly applied to premature whitening of the beard and hair, darkening of the eyes and unclear vision, dizziness and insomnia, fatigue, and low or afternoon fever caused by yin deficiency of the liver and kidney (insufficient yin fluid in the liver and kidneys). Adverse reactions and contraindications to the drug are not known. Chasteberry is usually decocted 6-12g and has limited effect on foot soaking. If there is a need for medication, it is recommended that it be used under the guidance of a professional physician to identify the evidence, and not blindly self-medication.
