What diseases can cause transient coma

There are more clinical conditions that lead to transient coma in patients. When a patient suffers a violent blow, a car accident or a fall from height injury, it can lead to transient unconsciousness. Clinically, it is mostly seen in patients with concussions, and these patients may experience transient impairment of consciousness after the trauma, which lasts no more than 30 minutes. Severe cerebral hypoperfusion and ischemic attacks may also lead to transient disorders of consciousness lasting no more than 24 hours, and patients may experience sudden onset of unconsciousness. When patients have severe water-electrolyte disorders, acid-base imbalance, and endocrine hormone imbalance, it may also lead to transient impairment of consciousness, for example, patients with hypoglycemia may have significant impairment of consciousness, and diabetic ketoacidosis may also have a significant impact on the patient’s state of consciousness.
