Children’s teeth (clinically known as caries) should be treated with caries filling, root canal treatment or tooth extraction depending on the degree of caries. 1. If the tooth decay is relatively mild and does not lead to pulpal infection, i.e., symptoms such as spontaneous pain, hot/cold pain or night pain have not yet appeared; it is recommended to carry out caries filling treatment in time, i.e., filling and repairing the decayed portion of the tooth can be carried out. 2. If the caries is more serious and leads to pulp tissue infection with symptoms of pulpitis; root canal treatment is necessary, i.e., to remove the infected and inflamed pulp tissue in the root canal to cure the above symptoms. 3. If the tooth is severely damaged and cannot be preserved by filling or root canal treatment, it should be extracted in time to avoid apical inflammation or facial swelling. It is recommended that children should seek medical attention for symptomatic treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
