Induced abortion can lead to uterine adhesions, especially in women who have had repeated abortions. To prevent cavity adhesions after abortion, hormonal medications, especially those containing estrogen, are considered for postoperative prevention. Application of estrogen-based drugs for 2-3 cycles after the procedure can significantly reduce the chances of uterine adhesions. Pay close attention to the onset of menstruation about 1 month after the abortion. If there is a significant decrease in menstrual flow or amenorrhea, the possibility of uterine adhesions should be considered. In this case, a hysteroscopy should be performed to understand the situation and to provide follow-up treatment.
