How to drink water properly

According to the 2022 edition of the Balanced Dietary Guidelines, it is recommended that normal adults drink 1500~1700ml of water per day and choose plain water or light tea for good health. Water not only promotes the body’s metabolism, but also has the role of maintaining the body’s body temperature at a constant level, ensuring daily water intake is vital to the body’s physical health. According to the Balanced Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents, the recommended daily water intake for adults with a low level of physical activity is usually 1500~1700ml. It is recommended to drink plain water or light tea, and it is not advisable to replace plain water with beverages. In addition, it is recommended to consume some water-rich fruits and vegetables such as carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes on a daily basis, which is also beneficial to replenish the body with the required amount of water.
