How to treat gastric lymphoma

Malignant lymphoma of the stomach includes primary malignant lymphoma that occurs in the stomach wall, systemic disseminated lymphoma that involves the stomach, or secondary lymphoma that metastasizes to the stomach from lymphoma in other sites. The incidence rate is second only to gastric cancer, accounting for 1%-7% of all malignant tumors in the stomach, and it is usually found in the gastric sinus and pyloric antrum. Treatment options are as follows: 1. For early stage low-grade malignant gastric mucosa-associated lymphoma, anti-Spirochete pylori treatment can be used, which can be treated with triple drug therapy: proton pump inhibitor + clarithromycin + amoxicillin/metronidazole. After clearing Spirochete pylori, the tumor usually regresses in 4-6 months (up to 18 months), and the efficiency rate can reach 60%-70%, and if it does not If the tumor does not regress within 1 year, the treatment is considered to have failed. 2. In cases where antibiotic treatment is ineffective, there may be potentially highly malignant lesions, and radiotherapy or chemotherapy can be chosen. Gastric lymphoma responds better to chemotherapy and can significantly improve the 5-year survival rate. 3.Surgical treatment of gastric lymphoma helps to accurately determine the clinicopathological stage, and early patients with limited lesions can be given a chance for radical treatment. Palliative resection can also reduce the tumor, combine with postoperative chemotherapy to improve the efficacy and healing, and prevent complications such as bleeding and perforation that may occur during the course of the disease. When extensive lesions are not suitable for surgical resection, radiotherapy is used first, and if the tumor has shrunk but not completely regressed, it is still necessary to strive for surgical resection. Early symptoms of gastric lymphoma are non-specific and often misdiagnosed as gastric ulcer and gastric cancer. Therefore, if there is any maladjustment, seek medical diagnosis in time to avoid delaying the disease and delaying the treatment.
