In principle, it is possible to walk immediately after the plate is removed from the thigh fracture, because the fracture has completely healed and the walking load will not affect the fracture. However, since the plate has just been removed and an operation has been performed, prematurely moving on the ground may lead to increased local bleeding and swelling of the operated area, which will have a negative impact on the healing of the incision and subcutaneous tissue, resulting in increased pain, slow local swelling and thickening and enlargement of the scar. Therefore, after the plate removal, although in principle you can walk immediately and lift your weight, it is recommended to rest for a week or so before walking normally, which can promote local hematoma absorption and tissue healing and make the recovery faster.
