How long does it take for the swelling to go down after a thigh fracture?

Swelling can occur after a thigh fracture for several reasons: 1. local inflammation and swelling due to injury; 2. poor venous return; 3. bed rest after the fracture, the muscles cannot play a normal role in reducing swelling, so swelling can occur.  Swelling can be eliminated 80% in 0.5 months after surgery, and the remaining 20% of swelling may take several months.
