Tricentricular heart is complex congenital heart disease.
Tricentricular heart is a rare congenital cardiac malformation in which the primary septum develops abnormally during embryonic period, resulting in the formation of a malformed diaphragm in the left atrium, or the poor fusion of the common trunk of the pulmonary veins with the left atrium, leading to the division of the left atrium into two chambers.
It is a rare congenital heart malformation. The formation mechanism of tricentricular heart is not clear, and it often causes clinical symptoms such as shortness of breath, increased heart rate, lower limb edema, cyanosis, etc. The time of symptom emergence and severity are related to the size of the diaphragm aperture and other factors; the smaller the aperture, the earlier the symptom emergence time and the more severe the clinical symptoms are. Clinical treatment is mainly based on surgical treatment, but also supplemented with drugs to improve symptoms such as furosemide, ipratropium and so on.
It is recommended that patients with CHD visit a hospital and be treated under the guidance of a doctor.
