Tendinitis in 3-year-old babies can be relieved by general treatment, medication and, if necessary, surgery.
1. General treatment: It is important to let the baby rest and reduce the activity of the lesion. If the baby is more active, equipment can be used to immobilize the lesion limb to provide protection.
2. Medication: Tendinitis often causes pain in the affected area. Parents can give their babies non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), such as ibuprofen and acetaminophen, as prescribed by the doctor for anti-inflammatory and analgesic purposes.
3. Surgical treatment: when non-surgical treatment is ineffective, tendon sheath incision and decompression can be considered to relieve pain and restore joint function.
Parents are advised to cooperate with the treatment under the doctor’s guidance to prevent the symptoms from worsening.
