Can you see with a new eyeball?

Eye removal is a devastating surgery that requires the removal of all the contents of the eye and the implantation of an artificial eyeball that cannot be seen.
Vision is a reflex caused by the transmission of vision through structures such as the cornea and lens to the retina and then to the brain. Eye removal removes all other eye structures. Without the structures of the cornea and lens, which are the afferent pathways, the brain is unable to access the afferent information and cannot complete the full conduction process, so vision cannot be obtained.
The main purpose of the implanted eyeball, also known as a prosthetic table, is to minimize the depression of the eye, improve aesthetics, look as similar as possible to the healthy eye, and not to be able to see and gain vision.
It is recommended that you seek medical attention in the event of an eye condition and follow your doctor’s instructions.
