What is the chest pain?

There are many reasons for chest pain, first of all, it depends on what kind of pain. If it is a dull, crushing pain, cardiac diseases should be considered, including angina pectoris and myocardial infarction. The former lasts for a short time and can be relieved in 3 minutes in general; the latter pain presents persistent and is more severe, and an electrocardiogram must be perfected immediately when the pain is present in order to detect abnormalities. If the pain is pinprick-like, it can be seen in intercostal neuralgia, including intercostal neuritis caused by herpes zoster; the latter can be localized with blisters, and the pain is generally not related to coughing and breathing. Pulmonary embolism can also present with pain in the chest, but it is usually not paroxysmal, but presents a persistent pattern, and the symptoms are especially aggravated by exertion.
