A foreign body in the eye can be cleared by closing the eyes and pulling the eyelids, rolling the eyelids and rinsing.
1. Close the eyes and pull the eyelids: If the foreign body that enters the eye is only attached to the surface of the eye, just gently close the eyes for a while and then lift the eyelids with your hands. Generally speaking, the foreign body attached to the surface of the eye will flow out by itself with tears.
2. Turning the eyelids: If the foreign body in the eye does not drain out by itself through the tears and feels painful to the touch, the foreign body is likely to be located in the conjunctiva of the eyelid of the upper eyelid. In this case, you can turn the eyelid to find the foreign body, and then gently wipe the foreign body with a sterilized cotton swab or a clean handkerchief.
3. Rinsing: Foreign bodies in the eye can be rinsed with saline. If there are eye drops nearby, the foreign body can be flushed through the eye drops and discharged with the eye drops. Eye drops can not only reduce inflammation and moisturize the dryness of the eyes, but also disinfect the eyes that have entered the foreign body.
If none of the above methods work, you should go to the hospital in time to be treated by a doctor to remove the foreign body.
