Fetal movement will normally begin in the eighth week.
Fetal movement refers to the various activities of the fetus in the uterus of a pregnant woman, such as rolling over. Under normal circumstances, the fetus will begin to move around the eighth week, but because the fetus is so small and far away from the mother’s abdominal wall, the mother often does not notice it, and at the end of the sixteenth week of gestation, when the fully developed limbs of the fetus begin to move actively, the sensitive mother can begin to feel the movement of the fetus.
However, most pregnant mothers do not feel it yet. As the fetus grows and encroaches more and more fully into the space of the mother’s uterus and approaches the abdominal wall, fetal movement becomes gradually more obvious, and most mothers will feel it around the 18th-20th week of pregnancy.
Generally speaking, fetal movement is most noticeable between 30 and 32 weeks, after which it may decrease slightly as the fetus enters the pelvis and the space of the uterus becomes more restricted and fetal movement is somewhat limited.
It is recommended that pregnant women should go to the hospital for regular checkups, and usually can do appropriate activities accompanied by family members, such as taking a walk, it is best to take the left side lying position in late pregnancy, and diligently count the movement of the fetus, and if there is a frequent or reduced movement of the fetus, abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, and other phenomena, you should go to the hospital for examination in a timely manner.
