“If you don’t pass, it hurts”, and the pain at the Feng Fu point may be due to the meridians not being able to pass through the area, and the qi and blood not running smoothly. Fengfu point, also known as this point, ghost point, belongs to the Directing Vessel, in the neck, 1 inch straight up from the center of the posterior hairline, straight down from the occipital external bulge, and in the depressions between the two sides of the trapezius muscle. This point has the functions of dispersing wind and heat (dispersing wind-heat evils from external sensations) and opening the orifices, and is suitable for head and neck stiffness and pain caused by wind evils, stroke, dizziness, epilepsy and other conditions. Pain at Feng Fu point may be caused by poor local blood circulation and stagnation of meridians. It can be treated with acupuncture to dredge the meridians. It should be noted that the Fengfu point is close to the occipital region, and the acupuncture operation must be carried out by a specialized doctor.
