After carotid stenting surgery, if all the complications in the perioperative period do not occur, the patient can go to the ground on the second day after the surgery and can be discharged from the hospital in 2-3 days, which is a very short treatment technique because the puncture site is far away from the lesion, usually at the root of the thigh and a few at the wrist, so the recovery is very fast. However, some patients are in a state of prolonged hypotension after carotid stenting and require medication to maintain the blood pressure level and then slowly reduce the medication to allow the patient to return to a normal blood pressure state, which takes 3-5 days. There are also some special patients who will experience 1-2 weeks of hypotension, which will prolong their hospital stay. After carotid artery stenting, some patients have different degrees of fine thrombus dislodgement, cerebral ischemia or cerebral edema due to cerebral over-perfusion, which takes 1-2 weeks to treat.
