What to do if you have a sebaceous tumor on the back of your shoulder?

A sebaceous tumor on the back of the shoulder may refer to a sebaceous cyst, which requires surgical removal for treatment.
Sebaceous cysts are benign cysts formed by the accumulation of sebum and are most common on the head, face, back and buttocks. Sebaceous cysts usually grow slowly and can be observed temporarily if they are small and have no accompanying symptoms. If the cysts suddenly increase in size and cause local discomfort, active treatment is recommended.
Currently, the treatment of sebaceous cysts is based on surgical excision. If localized redness, swelling, pain and other symptoms occur, it is suggestive of secondary infection, and the infection needs to be controlled before elective surgical excision.
If sebaceous cysts are diagnosed, it is recommended to standardize the treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
